Sometimes it's good to turn off the word count, lock your inner editor in a dark cupboard and start to play. Pick a photo or two to write about, make up some arbitrary rules and see where they lead you. Allow the unexpected to happen. Go to the limits of where you're usually comfortable and then take a few steps further.
